Lead (codices) poisoning (the news)

I’ve been reading about the lead codices and in usual fashion I’m the last to comment about them. Overall, I agree with Larry Hurtado’s sentiment that we should reserve judgment until more work has been done it. The BBC apparently disagrees, writing headlines that presuppose the authenticity of these codices and their Christian provenance.  Rogue Classicism provides us a nice Classical (and logical) point of view. And, lastly, April DeConick provides us her point of view (with which I mostly agree).
